How are we different?

Now here’s a great question, how are we different from other herbal companies? Every ingredient we use in our mixes is either certified organic or wild crafted. Wild crafted is the same thing as organic, it just can’t be labeled as so as it is pick out in the wild. It still has very strict guidelines that are followed. Harvestors must provide a three-year history of the areas harvested to demonstrate non-interference with wild crops in accordance with The Organic Food Production Act of 1990. Although all organic ingredients are used, our products cannot be sold as certified organic without going through the USDA certification process which would then also cause the products to have to go up in price. To try to keep our products as affordable as possible for people, we have chose to forgo doing that but that does not mean the quality of our products is any less.

Does organic really make a difference?? Yes! Huge. A TBSP of organic herbs is going to have a lot more nutrients, antioxidants, less heavy metals, etc than one of non-organic herbs. Feeding non-organic herbs can do just as much damage as good as you are introducing your horses to many chemicals that we try to steer clear of.

We are very strict about where we source our herbs from and what parameters those herbs meet. We make sure there is no contamination, heavy metals, pesticides/herbicides, etc in them. We have certificates of analysis for all our herbs and are happy to share any information you would like with you!

All ingredients in every product are listed. We do not have any ingredients in the bags of product that aren’t listed on the bag.

Our products contain no fillers, byproducts, synthetic ingredients, etc. They are all just pure herbs.

How often should horses consume herbs?

Herbs are not something that horses only seek out once in a while. They eat them daily. It has been shown that horses naturally would consume at least 25 plants a day. So our horses should also be getting a variety daily. Do they need all herbs every day? No. But I recommend alternating what your horse is getting throughout the year and at least keeping them on one mix at all times. What mix your horse needs greatly depends on their lifestyle and what issues you may be running into with them. We are always more than happy to help you find what your horse needs, and the best way to alternate through them, reach out to us!
